The Welger Foundation hosted it’s second Big Shot Bootcamp on Saturday, May 3rd at Poly Prep Day School in Brooklyn, NY. We were excited to host 25 athletes this year.

The Welger Foundation is excited to announce the recipients of the 2024 Fall Grant process! We received seventeen applications and granted funds to eight recipients, listed below. The applicants spanned ages from 8-18 and included athletes involved in sledding, fencing, basketball and tennis. Congratulations to our Grant winners!

In celebration of the 2021 Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo the Welger Foundation held an Opening Ceremony viewing party in New York City. The last time the games were in Tokyo, Christa and Saul competed and won a combined 7 medals.  The event, attended by over 60 supporters was spotlighted by recorded videos of support

Welger Foundation Board members and supporters attend practice of the New York Rolling Fury with Steve Serio, four-time Paralympian and gold medal winner for Team USA Wheelchair basketball.
