BIG SHOT BOOTCAMP
The Big Shot Bootcamp is an annual 1-day wheelchair basketball clinic for young athletes aged 8-18. The centerpiece of the Welger Foundation’s mission, the Bootcamp offers kids an opportunity to play with their peers, as well as have an opportunity to learn skills from top coaches and athletes.
The day is jam-packed with fun contests, skills and drills with small groups, and scrimmages. Participants will come away from the day with greater confidence as an athlete, and a feeling of community.
“I was so impressed with the campus, the facilities, and most importantly the kindness of all the staff and coaches that we interacted with throughout the clinic. This was a very fun event and we hope that it continues next year.”

“Xavier met Steve Serio three years ago at CAF in San Diego. Having any opportunity to play with Steve, other paralympians, and all of his friends is just the best experience we could ask for! Thanks for hosting and including us in this event – we’ll definitely be back.”
